GOTHIC & ALTERNATIVE MANUFACTURING

Mesh Clothing Manufacturing for Alternative Womenswear

Mesh can be the main fabric or a deliberate sheer detail. Share your intended silhouette, coverage and fabric reference to discuss a development brief for mesh dresses, tops, sleeves and layered pieces.

SAMPLING
Typically 7–10 days
Typical production days

Confirm the quantity breakdown by style, colour and size, and any separate fabric or trim minimums. Sampling depends on brief readiness, materials and revisions. Bulk timing is agreed against material readiness and sample approval; production and transport time are separate.

Define the role of mesh

A full mesh garment needs a different brief from a mesh insert, sleeve or overlay. Show the placement on technical drawings and identify the intended underlayer or lining. Specify whether the sheer effect should be subtle, open or concentrated in particular areas.

References should explain a specific feature rather than asking the sample team to interpret an overall mood.

Bring material and fit decisions together

Share swatches where available and identify the required transparency, hand feel and stretch direction. If the fabric is not yet selected, describe the result you need and the points still open for discussion.

Consider how mesh connects to lace, lining, elastic, zips or decorative hardware. A visually similar fabric is not automatically an approved substitute; review alternatives before they become part of the sample.

Approve coverage, movement and finishing

Review the sample flat and on a suitable fit model under consistent lighting. Check seam appearance, neckline stability, sleeve comfort, closure access and coverage with the intended underlayer.

Record where a seam pulls or an edge looks uneven, using photographs and measurement notes. Agree care checks with the manufacturer and compare the garment afterwards; a visual fitting alone does not confirm care performance.

Share a practical development brief

Provide technical drawings, the sample size, key measurements, mesh references, planned colourways and quantities. We can then discuss feasibility, material choices and sampling priorities for the design.

Starting MOQ is 100 pieces, with the applicable style, size and colour breakdown confirmed per project. Sample and bulk timing depend on material readiness and the approvals needed. Contact us to discuss your mesh garment brief.

Questions about mesh garment development

What mesh information should I send?

Share a fabric swatch or clear reference where available, along with the required transparency, stretch direction and hand feel. Identify whether mesh forms the whole garment, a sleeve, an insert or an overlay, and show where it meets lining or other fabrics.

How do we check coverage and comfort?

Review the sample with its intended lining or underlayer under consistent lighting. Check movement, seam appearance, neckline stability and sleeve comfort. Record the location and desired result of each change before approving the next sample stage.

Which kinds of mesh garments can we discuss?

Mesh dresses, tops, sleeves, sheer panels and layered alternative womenswear can be reviewed against your brief. Confirm material and construction feasibility for each design. We do not manufacture latex clothing.
